I am notoriously bad for keep a journal so here's likely to be the first of very few entries. xD I wrote a poem for a friend and while I don't think it's very good she rather liked it so I'm going to post it up here.

The who, what, and where isn't important. You only need to know that it's of significance to sephirosimmortal and myself :3 Interpret it as you will - I'd like to see the various views on it. xD

Ancient darkness,
Sliding between thoughts, a sense of movement on the edge of vision
Predatory, lurking
A dark figure, a darker past
Pride drives it forward, head held high
Moving between spheres of waking and dreaming
Myth… Legend, Archaic
A flash of alabaster; a spark of gold
Sweet whispered words followed by a spike of fear
Your soul swallowed up, drained out – fuel for another night
Unrelenting, weary… determined

Alone

It drifts, homeless and hollow
Haunted by memories, a cracked façade the carnival discarded
Yearn… yearn for a reason, should it Sleep?
Forget? And pass into oblivion?

Standing on the precipice, resigned, it ponders

The light breaks and gives pause,
A rosy glow, pierced through by brilliant emeralds
An unwanted intrusion setting teeth on edge…
Cold heart flutters
Fire, bright and spontaneous,
Taken by surprise
A storm overtakes exhaustion, passionate and bold
Opposite roles, they dance across the stage
Yin and yang, light and dark
Life and death

Completion, fulfillment
Consumed completely by this spark of vigor, surrounded and embraced
Illuminated, wake as though from a dream
Cauterize the wounds, embrace the inferno
Entwined evermore
